The Edge Dual Carriage waterjet cutting machine is for those who demand both accuracy and productivity from their investment. The dual Z carriages operate independently so they can be programmed to double team a single part or cut two like parts simultaneously.
Boasting ±0.001″ linear positional accuracy over 12″ (304 mm) per axis, ±0.001″ repeatability (bidirectional) and ±0.003″ renishaw ballbar tests of squareness and straightness over 24″ (608 mm), means never giving up on quality again. The 3-axis and 5-axis abrasive cutting heads breeze through aluminum, stainless steel and other specialty alloys offering near-net shape cuts.
The 5-axis cutting head can cut bevels to 60° and eliminate tapers.
Programable Z carriages with servo motor driven 12″ (304 mm) vertical travel height.
Multiple accessory options to further increase productivity includinglights out cutting, height sensing and IGEMS nesting software.
The catcher tank is independent from the cutting frame to ensure the cutting heads remain isolated and no vibration is transferred to the cutting heads while water jetting the densest industrial metals.

Independently owned and operated since 1997, Precision Steel Services, Inc. is a metal processing and fabricating mill with the capabilities to cut, mill, punch, miter, notch, drill, and shear aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel to exact specifications. Quality service and on-time delivery is a priority and by keeping manufacturing processes under one 70,000 square foot roof, customers save both time and money.
Precision Steel had grown tired with the downtime they were experiencing on their current 6’ x 10’ waterjet system and the poor response time they received when they needed service. They also felt they had outgrown their system and by scaling up the motion system’s table size, they could run larger blanks more cost effectively. But while durability and uptime were the key equipment decision drivers, precision and productivity were not negotiable. As they began their research, Jet Edge caught their eye.
